## Overview

Case management for a law chamber. The advocate opens the system and sees the cause list first: which matters are listed in the next seven days, in which court, and what needs to be ready for each.

## The problem

Each case's information lived in a different place: hearing dates in a diary, papers on paper, in Drive and on a PC, fees in a register. Remembering dates was hard, finding a client's details took time, and who had paid what was unclear.

## Our solution

One case file per matter, with the hearing chain down the centre and recording a hearing as the main action. The system reminds the chamber of hearings and closing limitation windows, keeps every paper with its case, and tracks fees case by case.

## Key features

- Today screen: the cause list for the next seven days, with limitation windows closing within 30 days
- Case files with hearings, stages, tasks, parties, fees and uploaded papers (PDF, Word, images)
- Conflict search across clients, opposing parties, co-parties and counsel
- Website enquiries with a 48-hour response clock, converted into a client and case without re-typing
- Hearing and task reminders, calendar and notifications
- Roles for advocate, junior, clerk and accountant, with an audit log of every change
